WHAT IS IT?

Talay Bua Daeng or Red Lotus Lake in Udon Thani transforms into shades of pink wonderland. The pink-lily lake is one of top attractions in the Northeast. Generally, from December to February, the pink flowers are blooming and thus is the best time to visit. When you visit, hire a boat and make sure to go early in the morning when the flowers are opened.

HOW TO GET HERE

The lake’s actual’s name is Nong Han Lake and is 40 km southeast of Udon city. Hire a boat to discover its beauty. Cost around 500 Baht per boat and boat rides last for around an hour and a half.
